Ceremonial Cocoa

Organic ceremonial cacao paste from Guatemala’s Mayan rainforest—stone-milled for an authentic ritual cup. VAICACAO® Ceremonial Cacao Q’eqchi’ – Guatemala (Organic) is a 100% cacao paste drink made from stone-ground cacao beans—nothing added, nothing removed. Crafted with a light, short roast and slow stone grinding, it preserves a naturally rustic texture and a deep, authentic cacao aroma.

Why it’s special

  • Single ingredient: 100% stone-ground cacao beans (nothing removed, nothing added).
  • From a deep collaboration: Sourced through FEDECOVERA, a federation representing ~42 cooperatives and around 25,000 farmers from the Mayan Q’eqchi’ and Pocomchí communities.
  • Organic & regenerative focus: FEDECOVERA is known for reforestation and sustainability work alongside organic production.
  • Craft processing: Light, short roast (<115°C) to bring out delicate aromatics, then slowly stone-ground.

Taste profile

A deep, aromatic cacao with a grounded character—complex, expressive, and long on the palate.

  • Aromatic profile: Coffee, dried fruits, roasted almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, cardamom.
  • Bitter intensity: Medium–high.
  • Presentation: Block format; natural “white spots” are cocoa butter and a sign of purity.
