HISTORY/ORIGIN:
Linguine are long, flat, ribbon-like pasta from southern Italy. In this version the durum wheat semolina is enriched with white truffle aroma (2%), so the pasta itself carries a delicate truffle scent.
WHY IS IT WORTH IT?
- Bronze dies are used to shape this pasta, giving it a slightly rough surface that allows it to better absorb a variety of sauces.
- The slow and patient drying process preserves the natural flavor of the wheat and the authentic character of Italian pasta.
- Effortless to prepare: butter, olive oil or grated cheese is all you need, because the truffle aroma is already in the pasta.
PREPARATION:
Bring water to the boil and add salt. Add the pasta and cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain and toss with your favourite sauce. Serve with butter and grated Parmesan, or with a cream and mushroom sauce.
