Leone

The history of LEONE began in 1857 in Piedmont, in the small town of Neive near Alba. Here, Luigi Leone began to produce small, fragrant pastilles with mint, cinnamon and cloves in his father's tavern - a light "digestive" designed to delight loyal customers after a meal. From the first days, the LEONE brand was united by Italian traditions and precise craftsmanship. And the principles of production remained unchanged for many decades, preserving its authentic character. Later, after opening a store in Turin, LEONE sweets quickly won the hearts of the city's sweet tooth, and the brand became the official supplier of the Royal House of Savoy. Production also moved to Turin - here, businesswoman Giselda Balla Monero boldly invested in advertising, new packaging design and production development, demonstrating an exceptional industrial vision at the time. Today, LEONE continues to be an innovative and surprising confectionery company not only in Italy, where it is the best-selling pastille brand (NielsenIQ, 2022), but also internationally - from major European cities to Japan and the USA.

Leone's philosophy

It is a brand whose DNA intertwines taste, beauty and Italian spirit - creating moments that are both refined and lightly carefree. At LEONE, it is not only the confectionery itself that matters, but also aesthetics: impeccable design and attractive packaging that turn sweets into a small gift - for yourself, for shared moments or for a happy occasion.

Piedmont

Leone's roots are in Piedmont, Northern Italy: the story began in the town of Neive near Alba and continued in Turin, where the brand took root and began to flourish. Piedmont is famous for its hazelnuts, which is why they have become one of the most important highlights of Leone's confectionery.

Unique products

Leone's unique products are born where Italian confectionery tradition and carefully selected ingredients meet. Piedmont hazelnuts and Sicilian pistachios are combined with Central American cocoa, Madagascar vanilla and Ceylon cinnamon - this is how the taste of LEONE confectionery products is created, which is classic and unexpectedly modern. One of the most iconic symbols is the pastilles: they are still made today according to the original recipe, using traditional bronze molds, and the palette of flavors reaches 18 variations - from delicate, fresh to spicy.
